Elloooee Waffle :)
Well, David at last made an honest woman out of Jen ;) It was the most fabulous day, and one I shall look forward to reminiscing on in years to come!
Hubs, the twins and I headed down to P'ham (south coast) a bit late, but having borrowed Dad's nippy little Golf, we made it in good time. Mum and Allen had headed off on their hols early that morning and gave me a quick ring from St. Hellier. We arrived at their house to find the beach in full bloom, which I still find 'weird'. I had 10 mins sat out on the terrace with a glass of wine (which Mum had thoughtfully left for me). The sky was blue, the sea was sparkling and the sun was shining...perfick wedding day weather! We just had time to get dressed and spruced up, and apart from breaking the clasp on my shoe and chipping my nail varnish, it all went to plan.

We headed to the Weald and Downland Museum, and actually arrived on time (unheard of). The wedding ceremony was held in Crawley Hall (a beautiful 15th Century building), which is set in amongst other historical buildings to form a reconstructed market place. We found our seats and sat down keeping fingers and toes crossed the the twins would behave...which they did *amazing*. I was waiting for Sophie to start babbling along to the Crowded House tunes playing subtly in the background, but fortunately she didn't.
Then Jen arrived, looking absolutely stunning! For once I didn't blub, but I did have a huge grin on my face all the way through the vows and readings. It was a lovely short service with fantastic music, 'Won't Give In' was played during the signing of the register, which did bring a lump to my throat ;)
Then it was outside for piccies. Sadly, being somewhat occupied with the terrible twosome I didn't take any piccies, but Hubs took a couple. It was nice to meet some familiar faces from Jen's hen night, Jen's 30th and gigs. It was also nice to meet David's Mum & Dad, who were lovely. Hubs went off for a wander while I chatted to peeps, it was nice, normally I am a bit shy in these situations, but everyone was so friendly, I soon relaxed.
Then it was off to the reception, which was held at the village cricket club in a lovely rustic barn. Champagne on arrival, lots of it...and my glass kept getting topped up! *nice*. We mingled until we were seated at our table and then it was time for the speeches. The speeches were great! Jen's Mums was especially good and very touching, it had me welling up a tad and made me feel very proud to be there, and to be friends of these very special people. The best-man read out a suprise card from the Misters Neil & Tim Finn (rather fitting eh) :D
A lovely meal followed with the most scrummy pavlova for desert *slurp*. It seemed I was the only one at our end of the table drinking *shame*, the NZ white wine was very moorish! Unfortunately feeding the twins in their pushchair was a bit of a messy business hehehe, but we survived it! More 'mingling' followed while the room was prepared for the band and dancing to begin. Sophie managed to fit in a bit of flirting with David (her hero) and promptly fell asleep on his shoulder, Charlie managed to find some poor unsuspecting soul to have a cuddle with him and left dribble all down her outfit oops. Having been up since 5am we were ready to drop, plus Hubs had to face the drive back to Oxford, so we said our goodbye's and headed home.

It really was a lovely day. Yesterday I felt a bit down, as it was all over, and I no longer had it to look forward to, but I cheered myself up with the fact that it's only 12 days until Lisa's Birthday night out and 14 days until I see James Blunt again :)
Life is good!

Jen did look utterly beautiful!
I was looking a bit windswept from driving with car windows open (why did I bother taking ages with my hair?) and annoyingly I ended up with a dodgy centre parting lol. Sam took one look at the piccy and said "Mum, that jacket sooo doesn't go with that dress". Thanks Sam!
Sis why can you never take a complement!!!!!!!!!!
